7/47 From Slave to Godly Stewards with Godly Christian Foundations

Somewhere in being the true follower of Jesus, just being a slave isn’t good enough. Then just being a servant chains7in the religious system fails to meet the Heart’s cry for a living relationship with our Creator. The transition from slave to true servant must happen in order to receive the ‘aha’ of a new relationship with Jesus.

To know is experience is to be in an intimate relationship, to be in communication, to have fellowship, to expose one’s inner most being. This can only take place in a relationship where there is no judgment and no unforgiveness, the only one who can do that is Jesus.

How Great is our Creator God!

Recently, someone sent us an amazing article.  I’ve posted it here.boy at cross

When GOD solves our problems, we have faith in HIS abilities.  When GOD doesn’t solve our problems HE has faith in our abilities.

God’s accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs. . . . .

-those of the canary in 14 days; -those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;

-eggs of ducks and geese in 28 days; -those of the mallard in 35 days;

-The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days. (Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!)

7/46 Christian Foundations looks at the Qualities of a good Steward

In any discussion on what goes on in ‘the Church’, we need to remember that the Lord is building His Church.  steward4It isn’t the institutional, religious system, nor is it a structure of legalism and rules that come from self-effort.  We must remember that the Lord will rise up His leaders as well.

Having said that, sometimes we can learn what NOT to do – by watching those around us.  One picture the Lord used was the church as a flock of sheep.  Anyone having sheep in their background knows that a bunch of sheep are not the wisest creatures on Earth.

Two YouTube Videos on Christian Servants

As we continue the theme of being a servant in the church, we present 2 YouTube sights by church leaders:

ChurchConsultants:  “How did I get in this ministry desert?” Pastor George Ross of Northside Christian explains how he gets there, and what he does to prevent another trip. (courtesy of NACC 2010) For more church leadership videos & blogs, visit www.churchcentral.com

Here is the second interesting comment:

Toxic Leadership by john Volker, a short film discussing toxic leaders.

We trust these 2 YouTube videos will add to your walk in being a servant-leader.

Here is a Guest Post by one of our Readers.  Interesting how this fits with our topic of being a servant or a son?

“I am now 75 and a half years of age.  From when I can remember, church was something you attended along with others in a building.  The gatherings and buildings seemed to separate the people into 2 distinctive groups: one called Catholics, the other anyone who was not a catholic.   Those not catholic were dived into many separate groups.  The inference was that church was a building where you conducted services.
