Ever hear of an Army that didn’t have an Instruction Book, communication codes or battle plans? That’s why it is important to know what Jesus really said, what He taught and what He plans for His people.
Or have you ever heard of an army that couldn’t even hear from their commanders? If that happened, what would their army be like? Being part of His Bride entitles you to know your Commander-in-Chief’s Plans and to hear from your Commander: “My sheep hear My voice.”
For a lot of us, it means putting some effort into finding His leading and His Word for ourselves. Apart from the religious leaders of the day, the TV and great books, we need to find that walk for ourselves. It’s really a matter of learning how to do that, just like learning how to ride a bike. You weren’t born knowing how; few are born remembering that they knew God’s voice.
Just think what that would be like for you – if you knew your Commander for certain, to know that you hear His Voice for certain!
As Christian counsellors for over 20 years, we’ve found few Christians walk their life’s journey knowing that God is speaking to them; that’s partly why we began this blog!
Think about how it would improve your spiritual walk if you really knew …for certain, your Creator Word and that He was there …… that you could really have conversations with God! If God really exists, then why settle for such a small box called religion? Walk with us for awhile and see the difference in your spiritual life!So many soul-weary people feel far from God, searching for a real relationship; many try to make sense in being a Christian in their time of struggle. Others are facing life-changing decisions and they want God’s input. Others are challenged to find answers …but it all seems too hard.
Personally, we both were in that place once…when our real walk with God was limited to one-way conversations and not knowing what the Word said about us. We were just ‘Sunday Christians’. However, there came a point in our lives where this wasn’t enough.
This was especially true when we were thrown in the deep end as ‘Christian’ counsellors’! What did we have to offer if we couldn’t hear from God ourselves. We had to learn to find answers…quick smart!

Over the 30 years as Christian counsellors, we have helped so many, many others in the same boat. How do you live a Jesus-centred walk that’s the real deal? What would that be like for you if you in the centre of His will?
Here’s one quick story from Maggie: “Life was pretty hopeless. I was very depressed and ready to quit my job, my marriage and end it all. I was invited to an Alpha dinner by my neighbor – a free feed anyhow.
I listened to these people who seemed to have found something very real in their world. How could they be se certain that God even existed? I found myself asking questions and really thinking about their answers. I was so involved by the middle of the course, that I went on their ‘celebration weekend’.
I found a spiritual demension I didn’t realise existed. When I accepted this Jesus they talked about so much into my world and allowed Him to begin to grow me as His child, a new life began. Now, I try and share my story with anyone who will listen, especially my hurting family. They are interested … amazing!”
So, have you begun the greatest journey of your life yet? Learning how to hear from your Creator? What would be the benefits to you if you joined us on this blog? It is possible to know He exists. If you’re on that path – or have yet to begin – stick around for awhile and find some inspiration to develop your inner spiritual journey.

All of us need to deal with the baggage we carry into this new life. We all begin our journey being ‘a slave to the world’s thinking’. We can progress from there to being adopted into His family, becoming a son and heir onto being part of that Bride.

We’ll cover teachers like Jack Frost, Roy Waldrom, Elle Ministries, Elijah House, the Virklers, the Sanford, Joyce Meyer, Derrick Prince Ministries, Selwyn Stevens ….. among many others. We’ll also present some great websites and blogs for you to investigate. It’s all about following Jesus and learning what He wants to present to you.
Series #5: Christian Leadership Training – How to do you grow as a leader in His church, in His family to help others in their growth? After 10 ½ years preparing Christian Counsellors and ‘Co-Counsellors’, we have a wealth of information to help direct your heart and mind.
Series #6: Resources to Help you Grow – We have added worksheets, personal goals and things to think about, plus books, ebooks, music, CD’s and plenty of other resources for you to find and enjoy.
Join us week to week in our posts for these articles! We’ll even include some eBooks on different topics too!
We’ll be inviting Guests to write about their journey, as well as finding ‘podcasts’, interviews with interesting people, stories and great articles! You’ll also find great Resources: YouTube videos, helpful books, ebooks, music and other media resources included in our Library. We have also present a variety of practice worksheets and personal exercises and other great free resources to help you on this journey. Life wasn’t meant to be just you and I floating by in our pain and isolation. There are people around you who do know how to hear from God; some may even be willing to help you learn how also. Just remember, there is only One Creator and He so wants to have a relationship with YOU! …that means Hearing God in a way that makes sense to you!
