Ever had this conversation with someone – or even yourself? “So how can you be so sure, Susanne that there is a God? How do you know for sure?”
In our logical rational world, we can always find answers for everything. Right? Cause and effect? A + B always equals …. C? That may have left me logically satisfied but something deeper was needed. I remember how hard it was in my early days, trying to follow this Jesus and what the Holy Spirit was teaching me. I battled with doubt and all the physical realities around me. “Was there a God? How do you know?” Read more... (568 words, 2 images, estimated 2:16 mins reading time)

Our Guest Post by Pastor Sharon White:
A. A FAREWELL DISCUSSION
This week our passage focuses on the Holy Spirit bringing conviction.
It’s part of a “Farewell Discourse” of Jesus’ outlining his departure and its effect on the disciples future. Saying goodbye is never easy. Apart from funerals, airport departure lounges are for me the epitome of places of sad farewells.
There is a classic story of goodbyes in the Bible, John 16:4 onwards. Jesus is sharing with his disciples that His departure is necessary so that they can fully embrace the future. He repeatedly points them to the benefits of his leaving. “…..It is for your good I’m going away.” Read more... (2603 words, 7 images, estimated 10:25 mins reading time)

Jesus revealed to me a green vine. I was the branches of this green vine supposed to be a fruit vine. However it was not bearing fruit for a long time. To me I felt healthy and from a distance I would appear to be healthy with loving dark green leaves. However little did I know that I was not making my Owner very happy as I was not doing my job in producing fruit. Read more... (1109 words, 4 images, estimated 4:26 mins reading time)

For many people, the change comes slowly while for others, life is greatly and almost instantly changed. Gone are the desires, compulsions and addictions of the old nature. Here to stay are new ideas, new concepts and new hopes as the filters fall from their eyes.
The point we need to realise is that change is a natural process of any ‘Jesus Follower’ whether we want or expect it. Change comes with the new walk and new life with their Creator. Read more... (1577 words, 4 images, estimated 6:18 mins reading time)

In this series, we have been looking at the Foundations of the Christian Faith. So far we have discussed how a loving, all-present Creator planned and spoke the angelic realm, the universe and the Earth into being. Next, we concentrated on Adam and Eve, including the deception and fall of the human race.
Then we went onto talk about the greatest rescue plan involving Jesus Christ. Through recognising Him, we become a ‘new Creation’. Nothing like the Jesus Follower has ever been seen in the whole of human history. Jesus brought us rights and privileges that only come with faith in Father God. Read more...
