Guest Post/Articles @ Christian Foundations
Please read everything here so you fully understand what we are looking for.
So why write a Guest Post? What are the benefits?
You gain access to new audience and can potentially acquire a good amount of traffic back to your site/blog and possibly a few subscribers as well. Your post will have twice the exposure and social media promotion between our blog, ‘Christian Foundations’ and your social networks.
Our readers will also have an opportunity to hear a new and fresh prospective and discover another informative site to follow as well. Original, fresh, unique, authentic, current, relevant to my audience – that’s the kind of content we’re am looking for. It will also expand your own understanding as putting events and thoughts into words to benefits your own growth as well.
So Who is our audience?
Our audience is primarily intermediate (some percentage of beginners as well) readers who are looking to learn more about the Christian Faith, the challenges to their faith and other Christian topics. One example might be Hearing from God, about creative ways to help deepen their faith and walk with God. We generally focus on helping others find a reality in their walk with the Lord Jesus, rather than complex theological discussions. However, if we see an exceptional article, we will definitely consider it.
What am we looking for?
We would like guest posts that fit the Christian Foundation theme and growing a deeper faith theme that we cover on this site – obviously.
The categories would include:
Series #1: The Foundations of Our Faith – Just what did Jesus teach about The Father, Himself, the Holy Spirit, the future, heaven and hell, facing challenges in our time and so on?
Series #2: Challenges to the Christian Faith – What is the Church and ‘Jesus followers’ facing in our 21st century? How do we respond and how can we continue to hold onto the ‘Faith giving to us be our forefathers’?
Series #3: Personal Spiritual Cleansing – When we allow Jesus to begin His work in us, it is a journey of ‘Sanctification’ of ‘Regeneration’. So just what do these words even mean in our language today? It’s like coming into a completely new way of life as that ‘New Creation’ we are in Christ. All of us need to deal with the baggage we carry into this new life. We all begin our journey being ‘a slave to the world’s thinking’. We can progress from there to being adopted into His family, becoming a son and heir onto being part of that Bride.
Series #4: Great Teachers around the Christian Circles – We are blessed with a great variety and depth of Christian teaching in our present day and well as from the past. We’ll cover teachers like Jack Frost, Roy Waldron, Elle Ministries, Elijah House, the Virklers, the Sanford, Joyce Meyer, Derrick Prince Ministries, Selwyn Stevens ….. among many others. We’ll also present some great websites and blogs for you to investigate. It’s all about following Jesus and learning what He wants to present to you.
Series #5: Christian Leadership Training – How to do you grow as a leader in His church, in His family to help others in their growth? After 10 ½ years preparing Christian Counsellors and ‘Co-Counsellors’, we have a wealth of information to help direct your heart and mind.
Series #6: Resources to Help you Grow – We have added worksheets, personal goals and things to think about, plus books, ebooks, music, CD’s and plenty of other resources for you to find and enjoy.
We welcome different feature articles as a way to broaden all our experiences and knowledge of our great Creator God. However, we are sure you understand the need to keep these articles usable and open-hearted. So please read the guidelines below and complete the form at the bottom of the page.
Now a little bit of guidance and tough love:
1. Your article must be original. This means the article must be written by you and not previously published anywhere else, including your own blog/site. You can rewrite a great article you have already used but it must be enough different that it hasn’t been ‘just coped’.
Post should not be about an affiliate program/product or a plug for a business or company. No reviews of products you sell please, unless it’s about a great book, music or other valuable resources.
Articles must be original. We can use various online tools to make sure this content has not been posted anywhere else (this includes your site). The article you submit must be your own work. In other words, it must not be copyrighted content.
2. Very Important:Your post should not only be informative, but USABLE. I pride myself in providing the kind of content my readers can practically implement in their personal journey. People love to see proof and evidence that your advice works.
For example, a generic article on the dangers of other faiths, debating theories and theology, preaching judgment and condemnation will be rejected. A detailed post on how you learned and have practiced your ‘God-awareness’ would benefit our readers…..and the results you’ve seen from experience would be a great article to be published.
3. I might need to edit the content (misspellings, grammar, formatting etc.) before publishing it. Posts must be in good English. You will be notified of any significant changes before publication.
4. We do understand the importance of ‘link love’ and you should definitely link the article back to your blog/website. However, we are not a big fan of ‘link littering’ and will not accept links to affiliate products.
5. Posts should be between 400 – 1000 words. Try to limit the number of images and video supplements as this slows down the up-load time on everyone’s computers. However, think about including enough media to make your article interesting and informative.
6. Please don’t format your article beyond the normal paragraphs, punctuations, etc. I will match my colours and styles so that the article fits with my pages. Please no CSS code. If needed, the only HTML tags you should use are the paragraph, hyperlink, italics, bold and the H2 tag for sub titles.
7. It’s imperative that you respond to comments to your published post. We will email you any new comments. Then you can email us your answers/comments back and we will add them to the post – or you can return to our blog and add them yourself. The more often you come back to answer the comments, the more discussion you’ll generate, which in turn will encourage more social media sharing, traffic and exposure.
How soon will I know if my article is approved?
We will make sure to read any posts submitted as soon as possible and will most likely let you know within a day or two if we plan to publish it.
How soon will my article be posted?
This will depend on how many articles we already have in the queue to be published. Generally, we plan that your article would be published within a week of approval.
Have a question? Contact us. Fill in a contact form or just end us an email:
“Okay, I’d like to contribute. I’m ready to submit an article, but how?”
First, send us an email to let us know your general ideas: This will save you taking the time to write something we cannot or will not use. If we can use your article, we will let you know a.s.a.p.
Next, when you get your acceptance email, we’ll need some basic information for our files, so we can remember you and add links to your article later.
1. Please send your name and a short bio – one or two paragraphs about who you are. You can use your own name or make up a name for the articles.
2. Add your email address and your website/blog address.
3. Please include a four sentence or less signature/bio statement that will appear below your article when published. Again, you can add your own link here.
4. Then, select a recent photo or two – or use an anomalous symbol, a ‘gravator’. Visit Gravatar.com, if you don’t have one yet. Having a personal avatar or photo really helps bring people to your article. If you have problems with this, let us know. We can select a picture – a bird, a flower, etc – to use for you if you would rather.
5. Write your post, save it. Feel free to add a link or two to your blog/website/social network.
6. Write out a list of images you are sending with this email/zip: photo/s, gravator and other images. Remember to add them to your zip.file.
7. Send us the email with the zip.file copy of your article. Add any pictures and images as an attachment to your email.
We will review your article and if acceptable, published a.s.a.p.
Looking forward to your submission!
Susanne Fengler,
Hello Wender@! I visited your site – impressive! I am serious about you writing a post for us on ‘Mediation on your Creator’ as this would fit our blog! Many of the principles you talk about are the same for my blog too! So … I hope yours wasn’t just a linking exercise as I would like to hear from you again. So come back and visit us. You might also enjoy http://www.hearinggod.mentorsnotebook.com/blog which is another site we post to. …or you could link to http://www.marriage-firstyears.mentorsnotebook.com as I don’t get many links or comments there … for some reason I’m not sure why. I know that ‘marriage’ has a much higher keyword rating than ‘christianfoundations’.
In the mean time, I shall add you to my list to ask Creator God to make Himself known to you even more, Susanne
Thanks Folcane@……… I write what I have learned in my 20 years plus years as a Counsellor and mentor. Come back again anytime. You might also enjoy reading http://www.hearinggod.mentorsnotebook.com/blog … and may your spirit grow stronger and stronger as you continue to know His love – that’s what I’ll be praying for you, Susanne
