We want to welcome you to “Christian Foundations”, a blog especially designed to share the basics and the ‘beyond milk’ and how to enhance your spiritual journey. Here’s a quick preview!
We are very passionate about this topic, partly because learning to hear from God and being a ‘Jesus Follower’ has changed what we think is important in life!
Ever hear of an Army that didn’t have an Instruction Book, communication codes or battle plans? That’s why it is important to know what Jesus really said, what He taught and what He plans for His people.
….or have you ever heard of an army that couldn’t even hear from their commanders? If that happened, what would their army be like? Being part of His Bride entitles you to know your Commander-in-Chief’s Plans and to hear from your Commander: “My sheep hear My voice.”
Think about how it would improve your spiritual walk if you really knew …for certain, your Creator Word and that He was there …… that you could really have conversations with God! If God really exists, then why settle for such a small box called religion? Walk with us for awhile and see the difference in your spiritual life.
However, as we approach this Blog on Christian Foundations, the first thing we need to consider is why even read this blog? What have you expected ….what do you think this blog is about? Good questions but before we even look at the topics and series ahead, we want to set the firm idea that being a ‘Jesus Follower’ is all about change! What? Change ….how and what? …… then ….. why?
We are planning on during several series on great topics:
Series #1: Your growth and relationship with the Lord Jesus – 
Hearing His and Obeying Voice. Working with your Heart Motivation. Overcoming Spiritual Bondages. Doing your Spiritual Housecleaning. God’s Purpose of pain. Soul Care – emotions and your mind, soul ties, trauma, generational curses. Plus we’ll make sure we have plenty of worksheets and workshop style exercises.
Series #2: The Foundations of Our Faith – Just what did Jesus teach about The Father, Himself, the Holy Spirit, the future, heaven and hell, facing challenges in our time and so on?
Series #3: Challenges to the Christian Faith – What is the Church and ‘Jesus followers’ facing in our 21st century? How do we respond and how can we continue to hold onto the ‘Faith giving to us be our forefathers’?
Series #4: Personal Spiritual Cleansing – When we allow Jesus to begin His work in us, it is a journey of ‘Sanctification’ of ‘Regeneration’. So just what do these words even mean in our language today? It’s like coming into a completely new way of life as that ‘New Creation’ we are in Christ. All of us need to deal with the baggage we carry into this new life. We all begin our journey being ‘a slave to the world’s thinking’. We can progress from there to being adopted into His family, becoming a son and heir onto being part of that Bride.
Series #5: Great Teachers around the Christian Circles – We are blessed with a great variety and depth of Christian teaching in our present day and well as from the past. We’ll cover teachers like Jack Frost, Roy Waldrom, Elle Ministries, Elijah House, the Virklers, the Sanfords, Joyce Meyer, Derrick Prince Ministries, Selwyn Stevens ….. among many, many others. We’ll also present some great websites and blogs for you to investigate. It’s all about following Jesus and learning what He wants to present to you.
Series #6: Christian Leadership Training – How to do you grow as a leader in His church, in His family to help others in their growth? After 10 ½ years preparing Christian Counsellors and ‘Co-Counsellors’, we have a wealth of information to help direct your heart and mind.
Series #7: Resources to Help you Grow – We have added worksheets, personal goals and things to think about, plus books, ebooks, music, CD’s and plenty of other resources for you to find and enjoy.
Join us week to week in our posts for these articles – OR get the eBook! We plan on having an eBook out for each of these series!
We’ll be inviting Guests to write about their journey, as well as finding ‘podcasts’, interviews with interesting people, stories and great articles! You’ll also find great Resources: YouTube videos, helpful books, ebooks, music and other media resources included in our Library. We have also present a variety of practice worksheets and personal exercises and other great free resources to help you on this journey.
Life wasn’t meant to be just you and I floating by in our pain and isolation. There are people around you who do know how to hear from God; some may even be willing to help you learn how also. Just remember, there is only One Creator and He so wants to have a relationship with YOU! …that means Hearing God in a way that makes sense to you!
