This is our third post in this series on ‘The Five main Challenges to Christian Foundations’. So far, we have defined what we mean by cults and given a personal story of one young woman and her leadership into cult life.
In this post, we want to set out the reasons why people join such groups. Why do people turn away from mainstream Christian Foundations?

So far in our posts laying out the challenges to Christian Foundations, we have defined and explained how a Cult begins, along with a story of one Cult we have personally known.
In this post, we continue by looking at who are the most vulnerable to the Cult involvement and the usual Recruitment techniques used to gain members.

In our previous posts, we have define what we mean when we discuss a ‘Cult’ . We then went on to some of the major differences between our Christian Foundations and the belief system of Cults. We continue now a picture of a typical Cult leader and their followers.

So far we have show some of the major differences between Cults and our Christian Foundations by examples of their leader/s and their followers. In this post, we show the usual journey the Cult follows, along with an example of a Cult group we have known.

We now investigate the fourth major challenges to the teaching of Jesus and of His followers. So far, we have set out the basis for Humanism, for Evolution and the New Age belief systems. We have seen the changes in mind set and secular philosophy in following these model of lifestyle as they have emerged in the 1960’s to the present day.
Our next step is into that of the Cults and other Religions as counterfeits to the teachings of the Bible. In this section of the major challenges to Christianity we shall define what we mean by cults, how to tell a cult from the teachings of Jesus and what to share with those caught in the webs of confusion and false teachings.
