7/12 A Transition stage will come the slave in their God journey

We have set out the principle that we all come into God’s kingdom as slaves to the world and the ways we have learned to cope. Now, when we really enter into the Kingdom of life, we are faced with truths we have been blinded to in the past.  We must to come to grips with His call on our life, to step outside our usual ways of doing things and see a new possibility.

Certainly this depends on the care and nurturing we received as a new follower of the Truth, which is the topic for another stage in this growth journey.  Sad to sad, some are birthed into the kingdom but the cares of this world or the hardness of their heart meant the seed takes little root and little growth happens.

Hey, that sounds like the parable Jesus shared with the people.  Remember the three kinds of soil the seeds fell in, Matthew 12:8-23, Luke 8:5-14.

A farmer went out to sow some seed.  Some fell on the hard path where it was trampled on and the birds of the air ate it.  No growth was produced; no results for the kingdom.

Another lot of seed fell in the thorning, weeds.  The seed sprang up but was choked by the cares of the world and again, no results for the kingdom.  However, the third lot of seed feel on good soil, coming up to yield an abundant crop.

The challenge from Jesus was which soil are we?  Do we have ears to hear His call and allow the seed to fall on good ground in our lives?

We are no longer just a slave coming into the kingdom.  We need to face the point of being HIS SLAVE, to change and look for His way of doing things.  We come to the realisation that it was His act of mercy to bring us to our real self, born into Him.  When that realization happens, out life changes and we are ‘born again’.  Now we can grow from the slave to the world looking from the outside into His world…..to stepping up to the threshold of a great adventure with Jesus.

Sad to say some never make that transition and just sit in through a church service or leave the church altogether as “….it doesn’t make much sense anymore”.  Their seed of life was never ready been planted and grown.  Hopefully someday, somewhere else down the track, they will see the greatness of what is being presented and accept the seed gladly and begin their true journey of life.

…but you, dear reader?  How you made that first transition – from slave looking into the hope of new life – to jump into the Kingdom with determination to grow, to become what He is calling you to be?

As I write this post, my prayers go out to each one of my readers.  May we be that good soil and received His word into our world because that is a choice we make.  The seed is the same and the sower is the same.  It’s the soil that is prepared to received the words of life that is the crucial factor in our growth!

The next thing a slave in the kingdom faces is the condition of their soil.  Can they make a transition from just being hard ground into being willing….to be willing to change and grow?  This is the transition we all have to face.

Continue to join us as this transition leads onto more and more decisions for your own growth.  God will change your heart by only you can renew your mind to follow Him into change and true life.
