#9. Readers Respond: We had a Great women’s group but what about the men?

Another reader’s comments about their experience of the modern day church:

“We had this great Women’s group at the church that really covered topics you wouldn’t find on Sunday morning.  We grew and grew, divided and continued to grow.  It was really blessed and fun as well.

“We covered topics like ‘Conflict Resolution the Christian way’, ‘Mother Issues’, Facing inner Heart Conflicts’, ‘Father Heart and Dad issues’, Freemason generational curses – all centred in what the Lord was saying to each of us.

“We asked for this same level of teaching to be offer to our husbands, brothers and other males in our church.  Hhuuummm …didn’t happen.

“Well, then the church changed their leadership – again – and we came under the spotlight.  ‘What did we teach?’ ‘Was it Biblical?’  ‘Let me have an input’, said the male pastors.  OK, fine we do need accountability – no problem with that.  Well that was the beginning of the end of our group.  It wasn’t ‘religious enough.

“In taking in this next change in leadership, we realised that ‘…all the stuff’ over this new leader, would be coming into the group. He didn’t even believe the Freemason prayers were needed!  So that became the end of that!  Our joint leadership decision was that ‘the season was over’.  So we all tried to get onto the next season and the group dissolved – some literally in tears.

“Sad to say, most of the group left the church and went to look elsewhere for the green grass.  I’ll always be thankful for the time we had and the depth of teaching we found.  I know it’s ‘out there’ but where…..?”
